Summertime is here and we couldn’t be happier! From now until September we’ll spend every weekend at the seaside or by the pool splashing around and sipping our fav cocktails. Of course, we’ll be sporting the most glamorous swimwear pieces and sunglasses picks from our dedicated August Edit.
In his ongoing series ‘À la Plage, À la Piscine’, Dallas native, photographer Gray Malin flies above beaches, shooting from a door-less helicopter and capturing the pattern and color of the umbrellas and sunbathers below. Gray Malint takes us on a journey around the world. We are mesmerized by landscapes from the U.S to Portugal, Brazil or Australia. And we could not think of a more better way to lure you to join us than these photographs that just ooze summertime.
From above, a simple beach or pool becomes a blank canvas where people and objects become patterns creating repetition, shape and form.
These photographs are a visual celebration of color, light, shape and summer bliss. Next time you’re sunning yourself on the sand, look up: There might just be a photographer hovering above you.
