The magic of movie stars fascinates us all since the beginning of cinema. Love affairs across the screen and in real-life have been in our attention and influenced fashion, design, art.
As the Oscars have just ended, we are left wanting more so we stopped and looked at three stories that caught our eye. All, Oh so beautiful!
Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rosellini
Nothing beats the magic of the 50s biggest star, Ingrid Bergman. She simply wrote: “Dear Mr Rossellini, I saw your films [Rome,] Open City and Paisà and enjoyed them very much. If you need a Swedish actress who speaks English very well, who has not forgotten her German, who is not very understandable in French, and in Italian knows only ‘ti amo’, I am ready to come and make a film with you, Ingrid Bergman.” Rosellini accepted and the rest is history:)

Bergman became Rossellini’s new muse in a tempestuous five-year relationship that led to her being denounced by the Catholic church and the US Senate but out of all resulted the major Rossellini pictures of this time –’Stromboli’, ‘Journey Into Italy’ and the ‘German Fear’ and 3 children, one of which actress Isabella Rosellini.
Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston
‘Only lovers left alive’ is a contemporary Adam & Eve story. Eve is portrait by Tilda Swinton, an Oscar winner, an indie darling and royalty in the fashion world and Adam is played perfectly by the ever stylish and enigmatic Tom Hiddleston.
Together, they ask questions about human society and mankind’s decisions and take a broader approach on the world from outside as two vampires married for centuries and now living half a world apart. That’s pretty cool!

And it seems logical that they would wear sunglasses all the time. 😉 Their grungy rock-’n’-roll style calls for the all time cool dark shades, with shiny frames and black hued lenses.
Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet

We have to end with everybody’s favorite winner at the 2016 Oscar Awards, Leonardo DiCaprio and his most adored screen time partner, Kate Winslet. We loved every minute of seeing them together in real life but most of all in movies like ‘Revolutionary Road’ to of course their notorious love affair in ‘Titanic’. Their beautiful friendship and amazing chemistry on screen inspires us.
All that together with other amazing love stories on and off screen create glimpses of fascinating love portraits that are landmarks in so many different crafts and we sure can’t never get enough of the glamour!
